It is necessary to apply our oil-based primer in certain situations:

• Melamine, for maximum adhesion and long-lasting durability.
• Metal, glass, plastic and porcelain. The aim is always to maximize the longevity of the work.

We suggest applying water-based primer (with integrated Shellac, such as Colorantic primer), where appropriate:

• Wooden furniture, unprotected or with old stain or water-based paint. This is to prevent the tannin in the wood from surfacing and yellowing the paint.
• A piece of furniture has already been painted dark and the new shade will be very pale. This is to avoid needing multiple coats of paint.
