SAMPLE BOX

 CLEANER AND VARNISH REMOVER

Each project you undertake requires good preparation in order to obtain a durable long-term result.

Cleaner and Varnish Remover is used to clean and disinfect or to dull varnish. The spray bottle is available in 8 oz and 32 oz sizes. The cleaner and varnish remover can also be used to remove wax.

Whatever the project, for maximum effectiveness, we advise you to spray and leave for 30 minutes. Once the resting time has elapsed, be sure to rinse twice with a damp cloth to remove all residue.

SANDING BLOCK

The Colorantic sanding block has two grits, red and blue:

• (blue, light = approximately 80 grit, red, medium = approximately 120 grit).

It will be very useful for all your projects, whether for sanding in order to scratch the surfaces for better paint adhesion or to give a worn effect to your project. You will undoubtedly love the two-grain sanding block from Colorantic.

Being a two in one, Colorantic’s Small Sanding Block gives you the best of both worlds!

PRIMERS

Oil primer

The primer, Grip-All Oil, is recommended for making the transition from an old oil finish to the new water-based Colorantic chalk-based paint. We highly recommend it when it comes to painting melamine.

It is also used to block wood tannin which could alter the colour of your paint.

It also serves to prevent the wood grain from lifting when water-based paint is to be applied to raw wood.

It is available in 16 oz, 32 oz and 128 oz (gallon) formats.

Alkyde waterborne all-purpose primer

You have a project with an old water-based finish and would simply like to extend the life of your work or even start fresh with a new look… We therefore advise you to use the our water-based primer.

P.S: Do you know how to tell if your old finish is oil or water-based? Just soak a makeup remover pad with nail polish remover and rub the paint or varnish.

• If the finish rubs off on the pad or becomes dull, it is a water-based finish.

• If the finish maintains its shine and your pad is clean, it is an oil finish.

THE BRUSHES

Oval #6 and #10 Purple – Synthetic Bristles

We have the best line of brushes in Canada!

Made from high quality materials, these brushes are easy to use. Our purple brushes are our customers’ favorites. Professional quality, they are very soft and they are designed especially for Colorantic.

No. 10, sold individually, is perfect for large areas. While No. 6, sold in a pack of two, is suitable for small, hard-to-reach spaces.

Snow White

It lives up to its name, since it is white. This small, 2″ wide flat brush is very popular for small projects. It’s easy to dip into 8 oz paint sizes.

In addition to being used for applying paint, it is also very popular for applying varnish.

Wax Brush 16mm Natural Bristle

This 16mm wax brush is very popular as well. It holds the wax well and allows it to be applied gently.

When working on a project that will require different tones of wax, we recommend using more than one brush.

• A brush clear wax, Natural bee

• A brush for pale colours

• A brush for dark colours

It will therefore be easier to make your shades without changing the colour of your wax containers.

Velvet Foam Roller and Tray

The set includes a red plastic cabaret, a 4″ metal handle and two yellow velvet-finish foam rollers.

The foam rollers leave no marks on your flat surfaces.

GRANULAR BRUSH SOAP

Granular brush soap should be added to your cart without any hesitation.You will love its effectiveness and its tangerine smell when cleaning your brushes.

Our granular soap contains pumices which clean deeply and gently, it can also be used as hand soap.⁠ You will be amazed at its effectiveness when cleaning the brushes you have used for wax…even brushes stained with black wax regain their shine.
