Always looking for new furniture for the chalet, a few years ago I bought this pretty little table.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I fell in love with its original style. When I saw it, I immediately liked it. It had flower details around the edge of the table and legs. On the other hand, I found that it was a little dull and did not suit the rest of the decor at all. So I imagined a shabby chic style for this cute little table\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n So, here I am with my brushes and presto\u2026finally ready for this little transformation which will be very pretty in our chalet!<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Produits utilis\u00e9s” _builder_version=”4.26.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”21px|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Development” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”0px||3px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text admin_label=”\u00c9tapes” _builder_version=”4.26.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” text_orientation=”justified” custom_padding=”20px||||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n I started by cleaning the furniture well with Colorantic Cleaner and Varnish Remover<\/a>. So I sprayed all the surfaces, I let the cleaner act for 30 minutes and I rinsed very well using a cloth with hot water, in order to remove all the varnish residue, dust and grease.<\/span><\/p>\n Neutral colours are generally used to create the \u201cshabby chic\u201d style. So I chose the colour Vintage Cream<\/a> to carry out my project.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Using the large round brush, I applied the paint to all surfaces. Since Colorantic paint<\/a> dries quickly, I waited 30 minutes before applying the second coat. I applied the second coat and let it dry for four hours before moving on to the finishing stage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To enhance the \u201cshabby chic\u201d effect, this is the wax that I chose as protection. Using the 16mm brush<\/a>, I applied the Natural Beeswax<\/a> over the entire surface, but it is very important to work in small sections at a time. Once the wax is applied randomly, you use a white cloth or blue paper towel and rub the wax well. Continue this step, making sure to change your cloth, as it will become clogged with wax.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n *** In addition to protecting, the application of Natural Beeswax makes it easier to apply dark wax and also allows you to make corrections if necessary.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For the application of the Antique Brown Wax<\/a>, I used the second 16mm brush (because I don’t mix brushes for light and dark wax). I applied a thin layer over the entire surface and a thicker layer where there are flowers, because I really wanted to add depth. I then wiped off the excess with a cloth, then modified by adding or removing the brown wax depending on the look I wanted to give to my table!<\/span><\/p>\n *** Please note that the wax takes a few days to harden properly.
