And yes, no more stinky metallic oil paint that takes hours to dry! The new range of metallic paints available from Colorantic is odourless and dries very quickly, rather than in a few hours. Two or three coats are enough to achieve the desired result.
Colorantic metallic paint is made in Quebec from water and natural metal pigments. It is non-toxic and VOC-free (Volatile Organic Compounds). Its shine doesn’t fade as it dries, and it doesn’t require protection. It is used both indoors and outdoors.

Sequins
Do you like the shiny effect? Would you like to use this shine on furniture or decorative accessories, or perhaps create a thematic atmosphere in one of your rooms? Colorantic’s glitter paint makes it possible.
Glitter combines the playfulness of glitter with the elegance of an ultra-matte finish. This ensures a chic finish. Colorantic’s glitters are ultra-fine, so you can use them tightly grouped or scattered, as you wish. On a piece of furniture or a wall, it’s up to you to give it a very pronounced or more subtle style.
The paint
- Apply two coats of Colorantic chalk paint to your furniture.
- On walls, apply two coats of regular paint or two coats of colorantic chalk paint.
- For the third coat, mix the glitter with your paint or clear glaze, Colorantic Translucent Window. The clear glaze Translucent Window is recommended for a brighter effect. Stir for a few minutes to obtain a homogeneous mixture (do not shake to avoid bubbles).
- Apply with roller or brush.
Colorantic sequins are available in several colors: Gold, Silver, Blue, Pink and Multicolor (mix of 4 colors).
Glitter application
How do you apply glitter to your furniture or walls? It couldn’t be easier! Check out our short video tutorial to learn more about this technique. One bag contains 3.5 oz or 100 g of glitter.
- We recommend 1 bag for 1 quart (32 oz) to 58 oz of paint or glaze.
- Depending on the desired effect, we recommend 2 to 3 bags per 1 gallon (128 oz) of paint or glaze.
- Dip the #10 oval dry brush into the glitter and, shaking the brush bristles on the furniture, the glitter will stick randomly to the still-moist glaze.
- To create the galaxy effect, apply abundantly to two specific points and the rest will spread out smoothly.
- Remove any excess, then apply clear glaze, Translucent Window over the entire piece of furniture as a finishing coat.
